Man, every time you guys knock it out of the park, but something about this one... I'm getting the tingly feeling I got when I first discovered the world of "progress journalism / good news newsletters"-- thinking to myself "There's no way they can keep putting these out. They're going to run out of optimistic stuff! There can't possibly be this much!"
And yet every week you deliver. Just great stuff.
The language here is just beautiful too-- even if you have no idea what "Gundo" is before reading-- the phrase "Buy Gundo" is so blunt, unique, and evocative. It draws you in!!
Not clear how hundreds of small reactors "in one place" us safer than one big reactor in the same place. Are they really cheaper? The Valar "solution" creates hundreds of opportunities for reactor failure instead of just one and hundreds of component failures instead of just one. Will there be hundreds (times 3 or 4) reactor operator shifts to run them all? I can't imagine just a single operator for all of the "hundreds" of machines. Folks are willing to encourage SMRs simply because of the claims of the builders. Do you really think that hundreds of Ford Fiesta's would be cheaper and safer that a few large busses for a city transportation system? The SMR facts may come out very different from the claims.
Too many people have no faith in progress and innovation in the US. Especially politicians. It’s such a shame. They are obviously ignorant of much of the amazing engineering/science work people are doing.
Chevron was originally part of Standard Oil, as Standard Oil of California. They were one of the "Baby Standards", much like the Baby Bells from the AT&T breakup.
In fact, Chevron still uses the Standard name just enough to maintain the trademark in that part of the USA where it owns the trademark. Here is a Chevron station using the Standard name:

I'm 81 years old and every time I read these reports, I want to live another 81 years to see what happens in the future! It all sounds fantastic!
Always good positive innovation...thanks for the continuing updates on progress...
Thank you for sharing. Such inspiring innovations. Please keep it up.
WOW. Just, wow. So inspiring. Thank you for the infusion of hope.
I'm an optimist, but I am doubtful we will have both the solar cell tech and the battery tech to take us 95% off of O&G in 15 years.

LIFE has been built on CO2 for > 2,000,000,000 years . It is good stuff at these near green , and therefore ` all , life starvation levels .
Sucking it out of the air is a total energy & $$ wasting scam .
If you are going to do something useful with it , collect it directly from the stacks where it is generated .
Gee, to think the smartest man in America Elon Musk and SpaceX Mafia never considered this. Tell us, how did you make your first $Billion?
Casey Handmer ?
Love the deepdives of the companies/founders, so much better than “I met this cool guy”… we see WHY what they’re doing is so important
Interesting.
